The 18 best things to fly over our editors’ desks this month

The end of this miserable year is upon us. And oh, what a year it was. As Australia braces for an increase in Omicron cases and a wet summer thanks to La Niña, we really can’t recommend a better time to air Emily’s season two in Paris (seriously, how Cami even worked on Emily and Gabriel’s love affair via a frying pan?) and do some retail shopping.

At GRAZIA we are fortunate to be able to test new products and new lines before they hit the market, so a few of us have rounded up the best finds of the month; things that might inspire some joy as we ring in the New Year.

I wish you all a wonderful Christmas vacation. Please stay safe.

Christian Louboutin Beauty LOUBOUTIN VELVET MATTE RED LIP RED, $ 155

“Red. The color is so famous in the fashion space (Gabrielle Chanel featured a red garment in each of her runway collections, usually the fifth look) but neither are Christian Louboutin’s soles. This season, the French house has released a whole new line of Rouge Louboutin lipsticks – and the star is definitely the Velvet Matte lipstick in the shade of Rouge Louboutin. I’ve always been a little wary of matte lipsticks but the formula is in fact intensely rich, hydrating and creamy. One swipe will give you full coverage. And this business… wow! – Jessica Bailey, Editorial Director

We love these rusty bike shorts for a cute WFH fit. – Rebekah Clark, story writer

Apple Homepod Mini, $ 149. BUY NOW

“I cannot recommend these speakers enough to my friends and family. I actually bought two for my brother at the end of my product showcase with Apple. The Apple Homepod Mini has just hit the market and not only does it sound amazing (who doesn’t like to rock out with friends after dinner with music?), It acts as a smart home anchor allowing you control accessories (lights, TV, timer) with just your voice. I have two – one in the kitchen and one in the living room – which means Adele can get stadium-level surround sound in my house, just by asking Siri to do it. The smart assistant also lets me check email, weather, news headlines, or make a call while I’m brewing my coffee. But the best part? Two or more speakers can be used as an intercom system between rooms. No more “I SAID … DINNER IS READY!” – Jessica Bailey, Editorial Director

Kylie Minogue Sparkling Prosecco Rosé, $ 25. BUY NOW

“Confession Hour: The first concert I attended was a Kylie Minogue concert. It was the golden shorts, ‘Spinning Around’ era and me, 13 at the time, love her. Now back in Australia, our hottest export has released a sparkling new Prosecco, and honestly, it’s really good! With notes of strawberry, raspberry and flower, it is quite lively and lemony on the palate. Reading the bottle, I learned that it came from a family estate in the heart of Veneto, Italy, a place known for producing some of the best Prosecco in the world. I don’t need to tell you that I served it very chilled in a nice glass, with ‘On A Night Like This’ at the bottom. – Jessica Bailey, Editorial Director
