MANSFIELD — Music performance schedules were announced Monday for the nearly sold-out Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival, which returns for its fourth year on Friday, July 15, Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17 at the historic Ohio grounds. State Reformatory in Mansfield.
The site was made famous by the movie The Shawshank Redemption.
Inkcarceration will feature a massive lineup featuring some of the biggest names and brightest new stars in rock and metal, including headliners KORN, Breaking Benjamin, Evanescence and Disturbed, plus performances from Papa Roach, Falling In Reverse, Lamb Of God, Three Days Grace, Seether and many more.
The weekend will feature official SiriusXM host Jose “Metal Ambassador” Mangin providing exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews, fan interactions and more.
The festival is expected to sell out in advance, but a very limited number of general admission weekend and day passes are still available at www.Inkcarceration.com.

In addition to enjoying the diversity of the musical programming, fans will be able to book appointments with more than 60 tattoo artists and benefit from free tours of the famous Ohio State Reformatory prison.
On site there will also be gourmet food, a wide selection of beverages, camping and the return of the award-winning Haunted House Escape From Blood Prison (https://www.bloodprison.com) attraction, as well as activations fan favorite festivals.
New for 2022, Inkcarceration campers will be able to enjoy live music, drinks and late night dining from Thursday July 14th through Saturday July 16th in an all new indoor-outdoor camp lounge and stage.
The Thursday night pre-party will be from 8-11 p.m. with Rock Capitol Live Band Karaoke and a special performance by Inimical Drive as well as a special screening of the hit movie The Shawshank Redemption (filmed at the Ohio State Reformatory).
The Friday and Saturday night camping experiences will take place from 11:30 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. with performances by Paul Bartolome, City Of The Weak, 5 Fifteen, Our Sorrows, Purge The Heretics and Alex Embler.
The historic building and grounds of the Ohio State Reformatory provide the perfect setting for Inkcarceration. This massive and impressive place, with beautiful Romanesque architecture, is recognized not only as one of the most haunted reformatories in the country, but also as a filming location for several Hollywood films.
The Reformatory has a long documented history of paranormal activity and is a prime location for genuine paranormal enthusiasts.
During Inkcarceration, the Ohio State Reformatory (www.mrps.org) will be open for free self-guided tours for festival attendees from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Visitors are invited to walk through history and discover relics of past prisons at the Ohio Statewide Corrections Museum.
Visit filming locations made famous by the most beloved film of all time, The Shawshank Redemption. See the “hole” where Andy spent time in solitary confinement, stand on the yellow line where the “new fish” stood, look through the sewer tunnel Andy crawled through to break free, and watch through the hole in the wall just like Warden Norton did when he discovered him in Andy’s cell.
Explore the living quarters where the Warden, Deputy Warden, and Chaplain raised their families in the same facility that housed up to 3,400 Ohio criminals.
Inkcarceration will also include a special Escape From Blood Prison Haunted House engagement, the only haunted hellscape in a real prison, and an annual Halloween event held in the old prison. Blood’s prison at Inkcarceration will be open from noon to 5 p.m. daily.
Visitors to Blood Prison can tour the living quarters of The Warden’s Widow and the basement of this highly haunted prison. Tickets for both attractions will be available for $15 (cash only).
Fans around the world can also tune into “That Space Zebra Show” hosted on DWPresents’ Twitch channel (https://www.twitch.tv/dwpresents) throughout Inkcarceration weekend for an immersive experience. behind the scenes every day of the festival, featuring artist interviews and exclusive behind-the-scenes action.
The behind-the-scenes experience will be hosted by cast members from “That Space Zebra Show” and “The Power Hour.” Exact performances and broadcast times will be announced the week of the festival.
Musically Fed will be present at Inkcarceration. Since 2016, the Phoenix-based nonprofit has been mobilizing the music industry in the fight against hunger by working with artists, promoters, management and venues to donate unused backstage meals to community organizations that feed veterans, the homeless and food insecure. at national scale.
To date, they have reused nearly 400,000 meals. At this year’s Inkcarceration festival, they will save unused artist and staff catering, as well as excess locker room, to provide much-needed meals to area nonprofits.

Returning for its fourth year after launching in 2018, Inkcarceration nearly tripled attendance from its inaugural year in 2019, attracting 45,000 fans from nearly all 50 states, and had a record crowd of 75,000 sold out in 2021 after changing the layout of the event to allow for greater capacity.
Inkcarceration has received the Mansfield Tourism Excellence Award and has been recognized by the United States House of Representatives, Ohio Senate, Ohio State Representatives, and Proclamation of Congress.
